A tribute to The Lord Of The Rings

My favourite or important sentences in the movies.

Just because I watched them .. and I think that there are some pretty good ones in it!

So just read them!

With pictures from the movies .. uuuuhhh :)

(fotr)
"Hey ho, to the bottle I go!
To heal my heart and drown my woe.
Rain may fall and wind may blow.
But there still be -
many miles to go!
Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain,
and the stream that falls from hill to plain.
Better than rain or rippling brook —
Pippin: is a mug of beer inside this Took!"

(Fotr)
Sam: "'Don't you lose him, Samwise Gamgee!' And I don't mean to."
Frodo: "Sam, we're still in the Shire! What could possibly happen?"
[Suddenly, Pippin bursts from the cornfield and knocks over Frodo. Merry, close behind, knocks over Sam.]

Pippin: "Frodo? Merry! It's Frodo Baggins."
Merry: "Hello Frodo!"

Sam: "Get off him!" "Frodo? Are you all right?"

Frodo: "What's the meaning of this?"

Merry: "Hold this."

Sam: "You've been into Farmer Maggot's crop!"

Farmer Maggot: "Hoi! You get back here! Wait till I get this through you! Get out of my fields! You'll know the devil if I catch up with you!"

Merry: "'Dunno why he is so upset. It's only a couple of carrots!"

Pippin: "And some cabbages. And those few bags of potatoes that we lifted last week and, and the mushrooms the week before!"

Merry: "Yes Pippin! My point is, he is clearly overreactin'. Run!"

(scene after that)
Pippin: "Ooh! That was close."

Merry: "Oowwww! I think I've broken something."
Sam: "Trust a Brandybuck and a Took!"

Merry: "What?! That was just a detour, a shortcut."

Sam: "A shortcut to what?"

Pippin: "Mushrooms!"

(rotk)

Aragorn: "Hold your ground! Hold your ground."
Aragorn: "Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me."

Aragorn: "A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day."
Aragorn: "An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!"

(rotk)

Sam: "Do you remember the Shire, Mister Frodo? It'll be spring soon, and the Orchards will be in blossom."

Sam: "And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket and they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields."

Sam: "And eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?"

Frodo: "No, Sam, I can't recall the taste of food."
Frodo: "Nor the sound of water. Or the touch of grass. I'm naked in the dark. There's nothing… no veil… between me and the wheel of fire! I can see him with my waking eyes!"

Sam: "Then let us be rid of it, once and for all!"Sam:" Come on, Mister Frodo. I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you! Come on!"

(Rotk)

Sauron: "Aragorn… Elessar…"

Aragorn : "For Frodo."

Gollum: "We wants it, we needs it. Must have the Precious."

Gollum: "They stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!"

Sméagol: "No! No! Master!"

Gollum: "Yes. Precious first. They will cheat you, hurt you, lie!"

Sméagol: "Master's my friend."

Gollum: "You don't have any friends. Nobody likes you."

Sméagol: "Not listening. Not listening."
Gollum: "You're a liar, and a thief."

Sméagol: "No."

Gollum: "Murderer!"

Sméagol: "Go away."

Gollum: "Go away?!"

Sméagol: "I hate you, I hate you!"

Gollum: "Where would you be without me? (gollum gollum). I saved us. It was me. We survived because of me!"

Sméagol: "Not anymore."

Gollum: "What did you say?"

Sméagol: "Master looks after us now. We don't need you."

Gollum: "What?"
Sméagol: "Leave now and never come back."
Gollum: "No!"

Sméagol: "Leave now and never come back!"

Gollum: "Argh!"

Sméagol : "Leave now and never come back!"

Sméagol: "We told him to go away! And away he goes Precious. Gone, gone, gone, Sméagol is free!"

(fotr)

Frodo: "I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."

Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."

(ttt)

Théoden: "So much death. What can men do against such reckless hate?"

(ttt)

Frodo: "I can't do this, Sam."

Sam: "I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are."

Sam: "It's like in the great stories, Mister Frodo. The ones that really mattered."

Sam: "Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened."

Sam: "But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer."

Sam: "Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mister Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. Because they were holding on to something."

Frodo: "What are we holding on to, Sam?"

Sam: "That there's some good in this world, Mister Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."
